Internationally regarded as a street art capital, tourists and locals flock to Melbourne’s famous laneways, and street art walking tours continue to rise in popularity.

Renowned British artist Banksy helped propel street art into the mainstream. Today, many Councils not only allow it, but have commissioned works. The City of Melbourne has even produced a visitors walking guide to street art.

Amazing pieces can be found all around the city and surrounding inner suburbs. From murals, to cheeky and comedic works, and satirical statements, Melbourne’s street art will make you smile, laugh and think.
